What you’ve done for me

You’d think I wouldn’t know
What you’ve been going through

The way you never stop
Working all day too

Feeding and clothing me
Teaching me who to be

Building me and changing me
Moulding my personality

You tell me what is right
Keep me from doing the wrong

You show me the correct way
The path that I belong

And sooner or later
I realise

Your getting me ready
To live on my own

I am grown up
But never will I leave

I will be by your side
Eternally
With that I’m sure you’re pleased

Not an ounce of blessings
That you have taught me will be wasted

My parents I owe you a lot
May you always feel lifted

You’ve given me high hopes
On what the future holds

Just because I’m independent
Doesn’t mean I won’t be home

When you need some help
Or a trip to the mall

I’ll be coming around
With every single call

Like the supergirl you raised
I’ll never let you down

May Allaah keep you both
Always safe and sound ©

The Hijab That I Wear

Don’t ask me why
I voice a little sigh

And sometimes I cry
From wondering why

The world can be cruel
People can be vicious

But sometimes I think
Life is so precious

People see me different
Sometimes they even stare

I want to call them rude
But I don’t ever dare

I have a strange dress code
Some like to think

So they stare so badly
And they don’t even blink

They don’t even realise
I don’t want the attention

Instead of receiving blank stares
I’d like some affection

At the end of the day
I try to walk with a smile on my face

I walk with my hijaab on my head
Full of modesty and grace

Hijab

I love that I’m a Muslimah
I think it’s just great

But others like to mock me
And give me some hate

They give me creepy looks,
And sometimes they swear,

Sometimes I think,
Why do they even care?

As I ignore them,
And cover my hair,

I walk with humility,
With the hijab that I wear.©

What are you doing for Gaza? [Part 2]

Hi everyone,

Yesterday was yet again another day of Fundraising at Al-Hikmah Girls School,

We had:
Face Painting
Hand Printing
Mendhi (Henna) Hand art

Unfortunately I had to teach! The girls had lot’s of exams to do, so I guess I had to be there, but they did get a chance to join in afterwards during their break time, which was a fab treat for my hard-working students and also a great stress reliever =P

Here are some pictures, sorry I couldn’t take pictures of the flags printed on their face, but here’s some of the hand art and hand prints.

At the end of the day we raised £907.30 which is an unbelievable achievement!!!

May Allaah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) reward all those that took part in the Fundraiser, either through donating/helping/buying/or bringing in things to sell, May Allaah make this money beneficial for those in Gaza and May Allaah bless us and help us to help the Ummah further, Aameen.

Reward me for my affliction and compensate me..

JazakAllaah khayr to sister Nimra for sending us this one,

Prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There is no Muslim who is stricken with a calamity & says – ‘Verily to Allah we belong & unto Him is our return. O Allah, reward me for my affliction & compensate me with something better’ – but Allah will compensate him with something better.” [Sahih Muslim, 918]

Who We Are.

Let’s see
Who we are

We have similarities
And differences
We’re the same
Not in appearances

We’re both sometimes weak
But we make each other strong

Mostly she’s right
And sometimes I’m wrong

I am older
But she’s more mature
Shes clever
I like to think
That I am also

She likes neon pink
I like coral

I like it all gothic
She likes it floral

Sometimes I’m moody
She can be hyper

Her room stinks
Like a babies diaper

I like to sing
She likes to dance

And if she let me kiss her
I’d take up the chance!

Arguing and bickering is horrible we hate it
Its worthless and useless
So we tend to avoid it

But our sistership is great,
And we really love it
everyday we’re blessed and dressed
To impress

Our sisterlyness
Is just priceless

These girls…

These girls they always make me laugh
I’ve never met them face to face
They’re all uniquely different
In personality and race

I wish they lived next to me
We would have so much fun
We can ridicule each other
I’d poke then and run

They never seem to care
If you’re poorly and in a mood
When I’m sick and feeling glum
People usually say I’m rude

They always keep me happy
And pray for me always
These friends they are hard to find
I met these friends online.

Best Friends

There is this Abstract Noun..

There is this abstract noun,
That gives a lot of attention,
Some love this word,
Others hate to mention,

It mends,
It breaks,
It can make you calm,
Or make you shake,

Either way,
You’ll adore it,
One day,

Some can’t wait,
Others already tried,
Some are experimenting,
I don’t even know why,

If it is true,
It will come to you,
Be patient,
And you’ll see,
When he gets down on one knee,

Proposal

It shouldn’t be temporary,
No that’s just wrong,

It should be forever,
Until eternity is over,
Which is never,

That Abstract noun,
I haven’t yet found,

What is it?
Have you guessed?
Love.

Written by me TJ, just thought I’d add some fun lovey dovey ones, nope I’m not in love =P *Cheeky grin*

For My Future Husband

When I find the right one,
I will hold him tight,

Hug

I will embrace him,
From morning till night,

Give him all he needs,
Yes that’s a real delight,

I will look him in the eye,
Tell him he’s always right,

Hug him really tight,
As he turns off the light,

Hug2

And in the dark,
I will start a pillow fight

Hope you liked this cheeky poem I wrote,
Can’t wait to write more
